Saransk - Mordovia Arena21.05.2017: Mordovia Arena is the new home ground of Mordovia Saransk and also another playing venue of the Russian World Cup. It is yet another example of a stadium, which will have a reduced capacity after the World Cup. In this particular case, the capacity for World Cup matches will be nearly 45,000 seats and subsequently, it will be decreased by 15,000. Nevertheless, the new stadium will still be a nice change for Mordovia fans. The current home ground – the Star Stadium – has a capacity of 10,000 spectators, as well as the unpopular athletics track.

Moscow - Luzhniki Stadium10.01.2017: The principal venue for the 2018 World Cup will be the renovated Luzhniki stadium, which will, among other matches, host the final on 8th July. In 2014 the club moved to the newly built Otkritie Arena, which will provide another venue for the World Cup. Moscow will be the only city, in which matches will be played at two stadiums.
New CSKA Arena – the “highest” stadium in the world
Moscow - CSKA Arena10.10.2016: The highest stadium in the world – this is one of the ways to describe the new CSKA Moscow stadium. The unique feature of the stadium is the 142-metre skyscraper, in which you can find a hotel and offices and which stands in the south-west corner of the stadium. Its slightly twisted design is reminiscent of the UEFA Cup – a trophy the CSKA Moscow team won in 2005. This victory inspired the club to think of building a new stadium for 30,000 spectators.
